App Insights ProjectApp Insights Project is the name of the project type inside of Qualtrics you will use to configure the new SDK. During our EA, this project type will be hidden and require you to contact your account team to access.
SDK KeySDK Key is a string that connects the Qualtrics SDK to your App Insights Project. The SDK Key will allow you to leverage everything you configure on the Qualtrics website inside of your application.
InterceptAn intercept is a type of visualization provided by Qualtrics. Intercepts can include Native App Feedback, Messages, App Reviews Solicitation, and more.
Intercept TypeIntercept types refer to the different intercepts that exist inside of the Qualtrics product, e.g., Native App Feedback
Native App FeedbackNative App Feedback is a type of intercept that provides a fully mobile native solicitation to your customers.
Custom PropertyCustom property is an attribute used to define who an individual is, e.g., number of purchases. Custom properties can be added inside of Qualtrics and must also be added by your developer. Custom property content stays on the phone. Marking a custom property as Embedded Data passes the data to the Qualtrics ecosystem, such as Dashboards.
Custom EventCustom events refer to a specific custom action done inside of your app (e.g., adding a product to your shopping cart). Each of these custom events can be used inside of sequencing and as a trigger for when an intercept is shown. Custom events must be defined on Qualtrics and inside of the SDK code added by your developer.
Screen ChangeScreen change refers to when a customer moves from one screen to another. For example, as a flyer of Ribbit Airlines I go from the login screen to the booking screen: this is referred to as a screen change.
TargetingTargeting logic refers to the conditions set to target a specific user or group of users. For example, I want to target users who are a certain loyalty tier. Targeting is used to define who should receive an intercept.
SequencingSequencing refers to your ability to sequence an intercept based on a series of events. For example, I want to show an intercept to users who log in, search for flights, and book a flight. I can use sequencing to create a series of events of step 1: log in, step 2: search flights, and step 3: book flights. Sequencing defines when a user sees an intercept.
Screen Name Auto CaptureScreen Name Auto Capture is our ability to detect the screen names and screen transitions inside of your application. Auto Capture is our recommended approach to leveraging the Qualtrics SDK.
Button Auto CaptureButton Auto Capture is our ability to automatically detect taps on buttons inside of your application without manual instrumentation. Each captured button is identified by its accessibility identifier on iOS (UIKit) or its view id on Android (Views), which you can then use in Sequencing. Buttons without an identifier are not captured. Available on iOS and Android only; not supported for React Native. Button taps can also be reported manually on all platforms (including React Native) using reportButtonTap — see Manual Button Taps.
ThemingTheming lets you configure the colors of Native App Feedback intercepts through Look & Feel in your App Insights Project. The Experience SDK does not require app-side theming code.
