Update a Survey Session

POST 
/surveys/:surveyId/sessions-v2/:sessionId

Submits responses to the current page of questions and navigates through the survey. This is the primary endpoint for advancing through a survey.

Use this endpoint to:

  • Submit answers to questions on the current page
  • Navigate forward/backward through the survey
  • Save progress without navigating
  • Complete and close the survey
  • Update embedded data fields mid-survey

Only 1 session update operation can be done at a time. If multiple requests are received for the same session, only one will complete and the others will be rejected

  • next: Submit responses for the current page, and go to the next page
  • previous: Go back to the previous page
  • saveProgress: Save current responses without navigating
  • close: Submit final responses and complete the survey

Server Response​

After updating, the response includes:

  • The next page of questions (if not done)
  • done: true if the survey is complete
  • End message or redirect URL (if survey is complete)
